CAFE CAFE

Café Café is a modern, cozy café that offers a unique earthy experience. As the designer, my role involved creating a engaging menu ordering app with focus on user experience, making sure the app was easy to navigate along side a visual appealing user interface, that reflected the café aesthetic. I was also the lead for giving this Café its Identity with the branding, which includes logo, color schemes, marketing material and more. This is an ongoing project where I am still learning how to implement best UX practices. My main goal with this particular design was to utilize visuals as much as possible, weather its as simple as images and icons. I want someone, like my mom, who isnt fluent in the English language, to still be able to navigate through the app using all the visual ques provided.

Process & Tools:

Project Background & Goals Project background: We are creating a new app for a coffee shop called Café Café where customers can view menu and place order ahead.  We need to find out if the main user experience, viewing and ordering items, is easy for a user to complete. Research goal: Determine if the café app is hard to use. Research questions: 1. How long does it for a user to add items to their cart and place an order, what can we learn from the user flow? KPI - Key Performance Indicators (how can we measure progress towards the goal): Determined by the users that place orders ahead of time and by survey. Methodology: How will we collect data? Should we create a survey of many users then create a spreadsheet to identify trends. Participants: Select people who enjoy coffee and would like to save time, this should include a diverse group. Scripts / Discussion guide: Did you face any challenges when viewing the menu? Any challenges completing the order?
